Goodbye, 2020. I’m not sure anyone could have predicted the year we all had. It’s been a doozy! However, with all things bad, there are still good that have happened. Here are my bright spots among the doom and gloom:

  • I have two darling great-nephews that were born in 2020! William Graham in January, and Andrew Flynn in August.
  • We’re having another family wedding! My nephew Matthew and his fiance Tracy got engaged and will be married in July 2021.
  • My mother-in-law, June, turned 80 years old! She looks fantastic and is still vibrant and strong.
  • My niece Nina and her fiance, Vince, moved back to Ohio from Maryland and bought their first home.
  • My nephew Chris and his wife Megan are renovating a home in Columbus after living in Chicago for many years. We found out this week there is going to be an addition to our family! Their baby will be arriving in July 2021!
  • My niece, Maddie, graduated from high school and started her new life in college!
  • My son, Nic, is the proud owner of a baby boy kitten named Ivan. He’s a black and white fur ball of cuteness!
  • I took a leap of faith and started writing this blog, “My Heart In Pen”. I feel privileged that you take the time to read what’s in my heart each week and I thank you.

As you celebrate the arrival of 2021, I hope you will find your moments of sunshine during the storm. Be well and be happy, my friends!
