Classic Cherry Fluff Dessert

-8 oz Cool Whip (I used about 1 and ½ of a container)

-14 oz sweetened condensed milk

-21 oz cherry pie filling

-20 oz crushed pineapple, drained well

-2 cups mini marshmallows

-½ c chopped pecans (I don’t care for nuts in desserts so I skipped them)

-1 cup shredded coconut, either regular or sweetened is fine

  1. Combine the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
  1. Fold in pecans and coconut
  1. Refrigerate for about an hour. Could this recipe be any easier?

If you’ve been reading my blog regularly, you know I love the vibe of the 70s. Fluff Dessert is a tasty and easy throwback recipe from this decade.

There are many different varieties like pineapple, banana split, and the one called The Watergate Salad. My favorite is cherry! That’s why I’m sharing this version.

The second time I made this I made a couple of small changes. I used extra Cool-Whip and didn’t squeeze the crushed pineapple as dry as I did the first time. I like it to be a little creamier and more fluffy. You can even make the presentation a little fancy by serving a scoop in a wine glass with a pitted cherry on top.

Back in the day, it was a far-out party when fluff and fondue were served. It’s time for this recipe to make a comeback to your summer dessert rotation! It’s perfect to make for Labor Day Weekend and it takes less than 5 minutes to whip up. So easy. So good. So groovy. Enjoy!
