-Red wine vinegar/ fill up a half-pint jar about ¾ full
–Good olive oil/ fill up the rest of the jar leaving a little room at the top
-Add about a teaspoon each of garlic powder, oregano, and basil.
–About a ½ teaspoon of onion powder, salt, and pepper
-About a teaspoon of Dijon mustard
-I had some Feta cheese in my fridge so I crumpled some in the dressing too. No big deal if you don’t have any on hand.
Secure the lid and shake vigorously. Refrigerate.
I’m picky about salad dressing. If I don’t have a bottle in my refrigerator that I’m crazy about, I definitely eat less greens. Unfortunately, I have thrown away more than one grocery store bottle because the flavor is sub-par or I don’t buy it because of the long ingredient list.
Of course, I’ve tried making my own but the recipes I’ve followed and tweaked still never tasted right, until now. I finally found a flavorful, easy dressing that we love! A good Greek dressing has a higher amount of vinegar than oil. That’s why this recipe is a homerun for us!
I found the original recipe online. It’s from a pizzeria that makes this famous Greek dressing. They make it by the gallon for their restaurant! I used a half-pint jar that would last us about a week and roughly estimated the ingredient quantities.
What’s a good salad without a tasty dressing? It’s lettuce that gets brown in the back of your fridge..lol. Enjoy!

This is very similar to my fave dressings. I always make my own salad dressing, I find bottled ones taste a bit strange to me.

I agree. Fresh is best! I’ve never made a homemade ranch, though…
