You woke up this morning in a brand new year! How about that! Welcome to 2026…
How do you feel? Are you someone who sets goals for the new year? Do you already have plans you’re excited about? ..or are you like me and think reasonably and realistically about what’s ahead…
Last year was life-changing, thanks to our purge, sale, and newly built home. We had to make so many decisions. Even though we knew what we were getting into, it was overwhelming at times.
This year, I’m going for small goals and small wins. Mundane to most, but important enough to me to actually think about and, perhaps, execute..lol
I want to read more like Jenna Bush-Hager. I really enjoy opening a book, but sometimes I feel guilty thinking I should be doing a house chore or cooking something. I need to say it’s ok because reading is good for your brain. She has 3 kids, works, and is a celebrity. If she can read a book a month, so can I!
I need less social media in my life because we all know how quickly it can suck you in. I don’t need to watch a video comparing 3 different blushes. The one I have works for me. Move on..lol
I want to be more like Martha Stewart and continue to stay organized with my “one new thing in the house/ one thing comes out” rule. It really doesn’t take much effort now that we’ve moved.
Eat less sugar. I am not giving it up, just being mindful of consuming less. If I want to eat a handful of Nerd Gummy Clusters, I won’t feel guilty about it!
As long as my body won’t scream at me, I want to move more. Chronic pain is debilitating on the body and mind.
I want to feel pretty and confident like Oprah. That woman can own a room!
Stay calm, worry less.
It’s doable. I’m in…Cheers to 2026!

Oooh Judy, I like your style. All of those goals sound great and like things I myself want to incorporate into my life. Let’s go, 2026!

Honestly, I’m not a hard-core “resolution” type of person, but I like to try to be the best “me” I can. I need nudged and reminded..lol. I should keep myself accountable and do a “check in” blog in June…hmmmm!

I like all the options for the coming year! Small changes, or small intentions, can go a long way. I want to read more and I’m already not feeling guilty about that. Happy New Year, my friend!

Those hard core resolutions are so off balance to me. I’d fall off within 24 hours..lol. I picked out my first book for the year and excited to spend some time with it today. Hello 2026!!!

These are all good ideas! (And yes, I also love Nerds Gummy Clusters.)
Lately, I’ve been struggling to find books that grab me, or even to sit still long enough to read. I think it’s just where I am in life right now. My attention is being pulled elsewhere, and I’m trusting that when this season loosens its grip, my focus will come back. 💜
